As a citizen, I have been shocked by the NSA scandal. But as a presentation designer, I felt even more offended by the revealed slides. So I decided to revamp their hideous deck.

The reception was unexpected. This presentation made it to the top of Hacker News and got covered  on numerous media outlets. It has now gathered more than one million views on Slideshare.

Welcome to Viztada.

TEDx Conference - Dataveyes

For a presentation designer like me, creating visuals for a TEDx talk is always an exciting assignment. So when Caroline from Dataveyes contacted me to design her slides, I accepted right away.

Dataveyes is a startup specialized in data visualization. Their talk was about the rise and fall of Viztada, a dystopic city where information overload had taken over their poor inhabitants.

The aim was to create bright and minimalistic visuals to represent each part of the story. Elementary shapes were animated to compose each sequence, like pieces of data being aggregated and converted into information and knowledge.

Most of the icons come from The Noun Project and the face of “Viztadians” are inspired by The Slavery Footprint.

The Factory.

Joshfire is the startup behind the Joshfire Factory, which allows you to create beautiful multidevice apps within minutes.

I created this deck for a new biz pitch, to highlight all the different benefits of the Factory. I used white geometric shapes on a classy dark background to emphasize the quality and the strength of their platform.

Keynote
I Love You.

But you’re bringing me down.

I love Keynote. It’s a wonderful presentation software. But its default theme sucks.

So I created Keynude. It’s a naked Keynote theme. Grey shapes, flat charts, no yucky fills.

Social media case studies.

Tigerlily

Tigerlily is a social media marketing platform helping brands to stand out on the social web.

At Tigerlily, I partnered with my colleague Damien to produce cool case studies to showcase our products and services.

For each presentation, I created a specific visual identity adapted to the content and tried to find a catchy angle to attract viewers. In less than a year, we gathered more than 135k views and numerous business leads thanks to this content marketing strategy. Some of our presentations even have been featured as Slideshare’s Top Presentation of the Day (see here and here).

Code + Design + Info

In 2012, Google France organized the first data visualisation challenge about the French presidential elections. Teams of designers and developers had to create an interactive and innovative web app, presenting data extracted from Google products or other third-party APIs.

For this event, I was in charge of the conception of the explanatory video of the contest. The entire video have been made on Keynote (thanks, Magic Move!), without any additional video effects.

And the people who are crazy enough to think they can change their presentations, are the ones who do.

I decided to do what I do best : designing presentations. I created a more visual and customised resume;  an entertaining flashback into my (short) professional life.

Presenting Like The Artist

It's all about visual storytelling.

Silent movies and slides face the same challenge : How can you convey a message without saying it? This is were the power of visual storytelling comes in.

Just before the 2012 Academy Awards where The Artist won 5 Oscars, I tried to benefit from media coverage and shared some tips about presentations using scenes from the film.

Extreme Pitch

For startupers in a rush.

Startups Weekends are events where developers, designers and entrepreneurs launch a startup in 54 hours. So-called “hackathons” are fast-paced and exhausting, but also incredibly fun.

I gave this talk at the last Startup Weekend at HEC Paris, just a few hours before the final presentation. The goal was to give attendees quick tips to present their project and convince the jury that their startup would be the next big thing.

Cap Gemini

It is one of the first “presentations about presentations” I’ve created.

It was originally intented for international VPs of the IT consulting firm Cap Gemini. I wanted to encourage them to think further than corporate templates.
